Stainless steel wire is a kind of wire mesh product made of stainless steel, which has very good corrosion resistance and cost performance. Next, let's introduce the characteristics of 300 series stainless steel wire.
First of all, the products we often see in the market are 304 and 316 stainless steel wire mesh. These two products have very good cost performance and corrosion resistance, long service life, strong tensile and shear resistance, and are very good protective products. Especially 316 stainless steel wire has very good chloride corrosion resistance, so it is usually used in marine environment. 316 stainless steel wire has good oxidation resistance in intermittent use below 1600 degrees and continuous use below 1700 degrees. In the range of 800-1575 degrees, it is better not to continuously act on 316 stainless steel wire, but when 316 stainless steel wire is continuously used outside this temperature range, the stainless steel has good heat resistance.
316 stainless steel has good weldability. All standard welding methods can be used for welding. 316cb, 316L or 309cb stainless steel filler rods or electrodes can be used for welding according to the purpose. In order to obtain the best corrosion resistance, the welded section of 316 stainless steel needs post weld annealing. If 316L stainless steel is used, post weld annealing is not required.
In addition to the above two kinds of stainless steel wire, there are 317 stainless steel wire and 310 stainless steel wire. 317 stainless steel wire and 316 stainless steel wire belong to molybdenum containing stainless steel wire, and the molybdenum content of 317 stainless steel wire is higher than 316 stainless steel wire. The performance of stainless steel wire containing molybdenum is better than that of 310 and 304 stainless steel wires. Especially under high temperature conditions, when the concentration of sulfuric acid is lower than 15% and higher than 85%, its performance is much better and its application is more extensive.
